Work

Testimonial from Justin Hamilton

I don't just write code. I solve problems, ship features, and deliver on time. From custom Rails applications to SaaS platforms, from open source to side projects, here's what I've built.

Building for Clients

Via Hamilton Dev Co.

Agency Work

Worked on multiple client projects through Hamilton Dev Co., delivering production-ready features and systems:

Open Secrets Pro

Built data and reporting features for a platform that makes government transparency accessible. Delivered production-ready features that help users understand government data and spending.

Beneke Wire

Developed an intranet site to manage daily operations for a manufacturing company. The kind of internal tool that makes teams more efficient.

Built new features and played a key role in getting the project test suites fully passing, which significantly improved the code quality and development workflow for the project. The project is a SaaS platform that helps CPA firms manage their clients and their tax returns.

Soono

Customer Experience

Built and shipped features for a customer experience management platform that helps businesses capture real-time feedback and turn negative experiences into positive ones. Contributed to system enhancements that improved performance and developer experience, enabling businesses to take control of their customer experience instead of worrying about negative Yelp and Google reviews.

Took on a full system redesign and new application development for a telecom company. The client had previous bad experiences with freelancers, but we delivered a complete redesign of their existing system while building new applications as they scaled. Deep Rails expertise, always coming through with suggestions and staying flexible to their needs.

Let's discuss how I can help you build it.

Work with Me

Contributing to the Community

I believe in giving back. When I see something that could be better, I contribute. When I build something useful, I open source it. Here's where my code is helping other developers:

Open Source

Bullet Train

The open source Ruby on Rails SaaS framework. Contributing to a project that's powering 1000+ production applications. This is the framework that helps teams ship faster and I'm playing a small part in making it better.

62+ stars • 387+ users • Active contributor

The leading open-source e-commerce platform for Rails. Contributing to a codebase that powers thousands of online stores. This is production-grade Rails at scale.

Industry standard • Thousands of stores

Rails generators that eliminate the boring, repetitive setup work. 276+ developers are using these generators to ship faster. Because why write boilerplate when you can generate it?

276+ stars • Active maintenance

Part of the Zero Config Rails ecosystem—generators that eliminate configuration overhead. Because the best code is the code you don't have to write.

Zero Config Rails • Rapid development

What Clients Say

Here's what people who've worked with me on Rails and SaaS projects have to say:

I’m pleased to recommend Prabin, who worked with me as a Rails contractor for several months. He consistently delivered high-quality work and was a reliable addition to our team, building new features and helping get our test suite fully passing, which significantly improved our code quality and development workflow. Beyond his technical skills, Prabin was a clear and proactive communicator who consistently met deadlines.

I would gladly work with him again and recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for a skilled Rails & Bullet Train developer.

Building My Own

When I'm not shipping for clients or contributing to open source, I'm building tools that solve real problems. Here's what I've created:

My SaaS product that automates Rails project setup. Create new Rails applications in less than 30 minutes by choosing gems from a Web UI, answering configuration questions, and getting a fully configured app ready to build; all without touching a single file. The philosophy: zero configuration, maximum productivity.

From a new Mac to a fully configured Rails development environment in 11 minutes. Built in collaboration with Andrew Culver from Bullet Train.

An open-source Twitter bot framework built with Ruby. Because sometimes you need to automate social media interactions, and you want to do it with clean, maintainable code.
